Franglish Comedy Festival: when comedy speaks every language
At Piste Productions, we’ve always believed that culture, humour, and live performance are just as essential to a mountain resort as snow conditions and ski lifts. That belief is exactly what led to the creation of the Franglish Comedy Festival — a festival that celebrates comedy without borders, in the heart of the Alps.
Organised in partnership with the Office du Tourisme de Méribel, the Franglish Comedy Festival has become a key cultural highlight in Méribel, bringing together locals, seasonaires, second-home owners and visitors for nights of laughter, sharp writing, and world-class stand-up.
A festival born from Méribel’s international spirit
Méribel has always been a uniquely international resort — a place where French culture meets a global community. The Franglish Comedy Festival was created to reflect that identity, offering stand-up shows in both French and English, sometimes within the same evening.
The result? A festival that feels inclusive, accessible, and refreshingly different. Whether you’re a fluent francophone, an English speaker, or somewhere in between, the humour lands — because great comedy is universal.
Big names, bold voices, and unforgettable nights
Each edition of the festival welcomes a carefully curated lineup of established comedians and rising stars from the French and international comedy scenes. From sharp observational humour to bold storytelling and fearless crowd work, the programme is designed to surprise, challenge, and entertain.
Shows take place in iconic Méribel venues, creating an intimate, high-quality live experience that rivals major city comedy clubs — with the added bonus of snow-covered peaks just outside the door.
More than a festival: a cultural commitment
For us at Piste Productions, the Franglish Comedy Festival isn’t just an event — it’s part of a wider commitment to year-round cultural life in the resort. Alongside music festivals, film events, and live performances, the festival helps position Méribel as a destination that offers culture beyond skiing.
Working closely with the Office du Tourisme de Méribel allows us to ensure the festival remains accessible, professionally produced, and fully integrated into the resort’s winter calendar.
See you in Méribel
As the festival continues to grow, our goal remains the same: to deliver top-level comedy, in a welcoming atmosphere, rooted in the unique energy of Méribel.
Whether you’re discovering stand-up for the first time or you’re a seasoned comedy fan, the Franglish Comedy Festival promises nights you’ll remember — and jokes you’ll still be laughing about on the chairlift the next morning.
